Provencal fabrics
After he discovered and lived in China for some 15 years, Marco Polo came back home in Venice, introducing the most fabulous silk and cotton fabrics nobody had never seen before here in Europe.
Many adventurers, among them the famous Knight named Jean de Valdrome, attempted to travel along the "Silk Road" from the Far East China through India, Persia or the magical city of Samarkand !
It was very dangerous to start such business then, and many died... and this is why some decided to make "Indian Prints" in Provence, using the antique technics with wooden stamps and natural colors.
Our fabrics are made by Valdrome since 1770 !
